Battersea Blues seeks to be an inclusive space for all. There is no room for racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, religious hatred, ageism, harassment of any kind, inter alia, at Battersea Blues. Anyone found to be guilty of doing any of the above will be banned.
Battersea Blues recognises that blues music and blues dancing are black art forms, originating in African-American communities throughout the early part of the 20th Century. We know there is a fine line between cultural appreciation and appropriation; we aim to fall onto the appreciation side. As such, we donate a percentage of the profits to Black Lives in Music.
Battersea Blues realises that there is no music on a dead planet. And if there is no music on a dead planet, there is certainly no dancing on a dead planet. Consequently, we back Music Declares Emergency.
